My Hobbies and Travels

Alaska - Coasta Rica - Lower 48 - Travel Texas - Panama Cruise

My hobbies are traveling, reading, and the computer.  My reading is mostly non-fiction, and my two favorite authors are Cornelius Ryan and Stephen Ambrose. As you will see from the attached sub-pages, I travel every chance I get; I would travel more if money permitted.  At one time, my consuming hobby was flying light air planes.  I have owned three rag wing trail draggers in the past.  I found it very hard to worry about problems when I was boring a hole in the sky.  My favorite airplane was a 10A Stinson pictured below.  I rebuilt it from the bare metal up.  I can no longer pass the physical to exercise my Private Pilots License.  Travel pages are listed in the upper menu on this page.

As I get older, I tend to think about the past more.  I started making my Edinburg, TX high school reunions in 1982 for the 40th reunion.  I have made three, and the class pictures are shown below.  The top picture is of the graduating Class of 1942.  Many of the boys of this class are not shown because they were already involved in  WW 2.
